Hard Work Pays Off

The main goal for most businesses is to hire staff that will lead the company to great success. In most cases this requires employee evaluations. There are many positive aspects to this evaluation process, although it is not ideal for some employees, it helps the business thrive.
Employee evaluation is a great way to honor the hard work and improvement of those who are determined and display beneficial work ethics. Employees who prove their great amount of performance throughout the year will be recognized by higher authorities and honored for their hard work. This is beneficial because it encourages employees to show up to work and put forth boundless effort in order to stand out and find success. On the other hand, employee evaluation is a great method to notice the employees who do not work hard; therefore, they are not benefitting the company. This can lead to a replacement with someone who is willing to perform and prove him or herself, leading to a more successful business.
An additional benefit of employee evaluation is that it allows a company to pin point weak areas that could use some improvement. This is beneficial for the company because it allows managers to create a better plan and set goals for employees. This is an effective way to observe the employees and notice those who are willing to work harder and alter their work methods in order to perform their job properly. In addition, this can lead to greater output for a company and result in increased sales and production. It has been a struggle competing in schools with the large amount of intelligent students who are all competing for top rankings and acceptances to various universities. My determination and several years of hard work and late night studying has paid off and I am grateful to have the opportunity to attend one of the greatest and largest universities in the state, Texas A&M University.  Fortunately, in the job world, I do not have to be the smartest employee in my company or the valedictorian of my college to find success and perform impressively. Furthermore, simply by working hard and understanding the goals and requirements anyone is capable of succeeding and benefitting the company.
Employee evaluation is a fair method of evaluating a large number of employees. This method puts everyone on an even playing field based on their performance at work rather than their ethnicity, gender, and personal information and relationships with the employers. This evaluation process helps to provide evidence of those who have a grasp and understanding of the company’s requirements and goals. Although this is an effective method of measuring improvement and performance, this can cause a great amount of stress and tension between employees. It is understandable that in most cases employees will experience months where their sales are low; however, this short amount of time should not be able to define their ability to perform their job in a successful manner. Employee evaluation is very beneficial as long as it is over a fairly large amount of time; therefore, this allows everyone to have a fair amount of time to adapt and prove themselves.
The saying “Hard Work Pays Off” is a very true statement for this concept. This unbiased form of evaluation serves to inspire employees to gain a great amount of determination to excel and find success within their company. As a hard working employee, the benefits that come along with performance should hopefully be enough to encourage workers to give it their all. There are hardly any greater feelings that compete with the feeling of being acknowledged for hard work. Having a positive employee evaluation can lead to greater connections and relationships between managers and bosses. This allows workers to gain helpful experiences and occasional raises and benefits. Also, acknowledging those who have contributed to great success can lead to further and higher titles within the company; this essentially benefits the worker in numerous ways and it is also something that can be included on resumes and can be carried over, helping them find successful jobs in the future.
Furthermore, an additional benefit is that by having the ability to compare employees on an even playing field gives the business a greater understanding of the strong points and weaknesses of the company. Overall, the company experiences the greatest benefits from this process because they are able to create and develop additional goals that can be implemented in order to lead the business to great success.
One of my greatest pet peeves is when I am forced to work in a group with people who are uninterested in the project and essentially too lazy to put forth any effort. Therefore, since I wont allow them to affect my grade, I always end up doing the group work myself. Unfortunately, the slackers tend to get credit for their lack of effort; however, on numerous occasions my group members have not been given any credit due to their obvious lack of participation. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for helping those who are in need of guidance or help; however, doing projects for others due to their laziness and lack of determination is unacceptable. It is very rewarding knowing that those people finally did not get away with their irresponsible behavior. I am sure this goes to people in the work force as well; employee evaluations will provide evidence of those who are incapable of performing at the company’s required level. This will allow the employees to work with inspiring people and those who are working with a lot of the same goals in mind.
